Terms of Service & Legal Notice
OBELISK is a corporate-intelligence service. It profiles legal entities using
public records only. By submitting a request you agree to the following.
What this service does
- OBELISK compiles information about a company from publicly available sources: company and
legal-entity registries, regulatory filings, market data, certificate transparency and
published press. No authenticated, private, or paywalled source is accessed, and no
confidential information is obtained.
- The service is provided free of charge. Volume is capped per network to keep the public
sources it relies on available to everyone; we may refuse, throttle, or suspend any request
at our sole discretion.
Individuals named in a dossier
- A dossier may name directors and officers. They are identified solely in their
professional capacity, from public appointment and filing records that exist
precisely so that the people responsible for a company can be identified.
- You will not use a dossier, or anything in it, to stalk, harass, intimidate, dox, defraud or
otherwise target any individual. Doing so may be an offence under data-protection law (GDPR),
anti-harassment law, and equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction.
- You are responsible for your own lawful basis for any further processing you carry out on
personal data contained in a dossier.
Accuracy & reliance
- A dossier is an automated, non-exhaustive, point-in-time snapshot. Registry
data can lag reality, entities with similar names are occasionally conflated, and the absence
of a fact is not evidence that it does not exist.
- Financial figures are reproduced as reported to the relevant registry or market. They are not
audited, restated, or verified by us, and nothing in a dossier is financial, legal, credit or
investment advice.
- Verify anything you intend to rely on against the primary record before acting on it. This is
especially important for due-diligence, onboarding, credit and counterparty decisions.
Indemnification & liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and without warranty
of any kind, and we exclude liability for any loss arising from reliance on a dossier.
- You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Niteshade Security, its operating company,
and their officers, employees and contractors from and against any and all claims, demands,
losses, liabilities, fines, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or
related to your use of the service or any request you initiate.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive
jurisdiction over any dispute.
